If you do not have enough clearance for your compact refrigerator's door to open all the way, try reversing the direction of the hinges. This is especially helpful when the refrigerator sits up against a wall and cannot be moved to a more convenient spot in the kitchen. Check your owner's manual for more specific information relating to changing the door of your particular make and model of compact refrigerator. Some refrigerators may have plastic plugs to cover the holes on the unused side of the door that must also be switched.
